Guernsey Stamps is proud to announce its release of two miniature sheets in celebration of the marriage of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton, to be issued on 2 June 2011.
A beautiful image[1] of Prince William and Catherine, taken at the announcement of the engagement on 16 November 2010, features on the first elegantly designed £2 Miniature Sheet.
A second £2 Miniature Sheet features the newly married couple from their Royal Wedding day on 29 April. Both miniature sheets will be issued together following Royal Approval from Her Majesty, the Queen and Prince William.
The Presentation Pack will contain both the engagement and wedding stamps and describes briefly the contrasts between Prince William's wedding and that of his Grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Two First Day Covers will feature each Miniature Sheet.
Complementing this special issue Guernsey Stamps has produced a beautifully illustrated Wedding Folder in celebration of Royal weddings previously issued by Guernsey stamps. Stamps featured in the folder include the wedding of Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones on 19 June 1999 and Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, and the two miniature sheets of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.
