For immediate release – 9 December 2014
Guernsey Post is delighted to announce the launch of its 2014 yearbook and its 2015 stamp programme for Guernsey and Alderney.
Highlights from the 2014 Yearbook, which contains all of this year’s stamps, souvenir and miniature sheets for both Guernsey and Alderney, includes a striking set of stamps to celebrate the Chinese New Year and a miniature sheet printed onto cotton to create a replica of Alderney’s Final Panel of the Bayeux Tapestry.
Once again, collectors are transported to
stunning scenes of life beneath the Bailiwick’s waters with an Augmented
Reality (AR) Crustaceans issue. AR
stamps also feature in this year’s Europa theme of National Musical Instruments.
The Bailiwick’s natural beauty is celebrated with Britain in Bloom and Scenes from Guernsey stamps. Commemorative issues to mark 100 years since the beginning of the Great War and the life of British author and James Bond’s creator, Ian Fleming, also feature.
Guernsey Post’s head of philatelic, Dawn Gallienne said: “Our beautifully presented yearbook – in full colour and bound into a high quality hard backed cover – contains all of our Guernsey and Alderney stamps, which are provided in separate glassine bags so you can place them in the affixed mounts at your leisure. It is priced at £62.84 which is the exact value of the stamps it contains, making it excellent value for money and an ideal Christmas gift.”

past year we have been working hard to deliver a stamp programme which is
interesting and varied. We are very
happy with the range of subjects that we will cover in 2015 and, once again, we
are working with a range of designers and artists so that they can inject their
own styles and creativity into the stamps.”
