Guernsey Post has produced an Alderney year-set folder containing each island’s entire 2024 stamp issues, including souvenir and miniature sheets, along with the stamp specification details and mint stamps. 

The folder features delightful stamps depicting the island’s iconic post boxes, which followed a colour change in 1980 from red to a distinctive blue colour, designed to complement Guernsey Post’s branding.

Two commemorative issues also feature in the 2024 Alderney programme with stamps released to mark the 300th anniversary of Les Casquets Lighthouse, located off the Alderney coast, along with stamps celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bagpuss - the most important, the most beautiful, the most magical saggy old cloth cat in the whole wide world. This British television series captured the nation’s hearts and became one of the best loved children’s programmes of all time. 

Completing the set is this year’s light-hearted Christmas stamps, designed by local artist Penny Dawes, which feature snowmen on their travels to well-known locations in Alderney.

Priced at the face value of the stamps they contain, the year-set folder is a wonderful and convenient way to collect the annual stamp issues.
