VAT changes from July 2021

Sending goods into Europe

From 1 July 2021, the VAT rules for the sale of goods into Europe are changing.

The European Union (EU) have removed the low value consignment relief on goods valued under €22 sold into Europe.  This means that from 1st   July all items sold into Europe from Guernsey will be subject to VAT regardless of their sale value.

This affects all our customers outside of the UK who now need to pay the appropriate level of VAT (for your country) at the time of purchase for any of stamps or other collectible items.

We are working hard to enable you to pay VAT on the website at the time of your order.  This means that you should not incur any additional fees or handling charges at the time of delivery.  For us to do this we have to register with the EU’s Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) and this registration is currently taking a few weeks.

In the meantime, you can still order items from our website but please be aware that your countries border authorities may stop your item and apply the appropriate VAT and a handling charge which will be payable by you at the time of delivery.

We apologise for any delays and issues that may arise as a result of these VAT changes. The changes are outside of our control but please be assured that we are doing our utmost to provide a solution so you can continue to enjoy the smooth and efficient delivery service that you are used to.
