Guernsey to vend Post & Go stamps at the Guernsey Information Centre

Guernsey Post is delighted to announce that it will vend Post & Go stamps from the Guernsey Information Centre, North Esplanade, St Peter Port, from 14 May until 7 October 2018.

The philatelic bureau’s new desktop unit (DKU) GG03 will vend the Bailiwick Flower stamps with the unique location identifier “Guernsey Information Centre” overprint, which are available to Guernsey’s Post & Go collectors as part of the bureau’s Post & Go collection from 14 May.

In addition to the Post & Go stamps available to existing collectors, Guernsey Post’s DKU will also vend the Bailiwick Flowers Post & Go stamps specifically for cruise ship tourists visiting the island, in liaison with Visit Guernsey. An underprint message on the stamps will welcome cruise ship passengers to Guernsey’s shores, which will be updated each time a ship arrives into port.

In addition to the Guernsey Information Centre locator overprint, Post & Go collectors will receive the first Bailiwick Flowers underprint, out on 14 May, as an additional standing order item.

Guernsey Post’s head of philatelic, Bridget Yabsley said: - “Although last year’s trial of the Post and Go kiosk located at our Smith Street Post Office was a success and proved popular with existing collectors, we have decided to locate the new smaller GG03 DKU at the Tourist Information Centre for the benefit of visiting tourists.

“We are confident that the new location of a Post & Go machine at the Guernsey Information Centre will prove popular during the busy summer months, particularly with the cruise ship visitors.”
