Guernsey Post is delighted to announce that it will be attending the 89th Scottish Congress, hosted by the Scottish Philatelic Society in Perth, Scotland, from 20-21st April.

The philatelic bureau’s GG01 kiosk will vend Guernsey flag stamps with an overprint message, which will read: -

89th Scottish Congress 2018

Also available at the exhibition will be Guernsey’s Bailiwick Flowers Post & Go stamps, which feature the Guernsey Lily (Nerine sarniensis); the Floral Guernsey Daffodil; the tiny Dwarf Pansy (Viola kitaibeliana); the miniature Sand Crocus (Romulea columnae), the dandelion-like Shaggy Mouse-Ear Hawkweed (Pilosella peleteriana); and, the Bog Pimpernel (Anagallis tenella).

Said Bridget Yabsley, head of philatelic at Guernsey Post: - “We are delighted to be attending the 89th Scottish Congress and to be joining the other island postal administrations, Jersey and Gibraltar, at what looks set to be an interesting event. Complementing our Guernsey flag overprint are Post & Go stamps depicting some of the beautiful rare flowers that can be found in the Bailiwick, which we hope will appeal to those attending the Congress.”
