Guernsey will launch new Post & Go designs that depict six of the Bailiwick’s lighthouses at the spring edition of Stampex (15 February).
The stamps, which will be available to vend from Guernsey Post’s exhibition kiosk (GG01 series), include depictions of Castle Breakwater lighthouse in Guernsey’s capital; Alderney – or Mannez – lighthouse; and the still active lighthouse on Sark, which guides vessels passing through the Channel Islands away from Blanchard Rock to the east.
Said Bridget Yabsley, head of philatelic at Guernsey Post: - “The six stamps feature some of the lighthouses located in the Bailiwick of Guernsey and have been beautifully illustrated by Robin Carter.
Following Stampex, the Post & Go stamps will be available from Guernsey’s Post’s Head Office, Envoy House, (GG02 series), whilst ‘B Series’ strips will be available from the Bureau by visiting www.guernseystamps.com or contacting Philatelic customer services on +44 (0) 1481 716486.
Spring Stampex takes place from 15-18 February at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London, UK.
