Guernsey Post is delighted to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of The Rotary Club of Guernsey with this delightful stamp set purposefully illustrated for the occasion by Joe Smith.
The Rotary Club of Guernsey first met in October 1922 and as part of Rotary International it is delighted to contribute towards making a real difference to so many lives globally. Rotary International has over 1.4 million members in 200 countries worldwide and the Club is proud to support the Rotary’s areas of focus.
The Club was chartered by Rotary International on 3rd March 1923 and a constant factor in its journey has been to support the Rotary mission of providing “Service Above Self” in the community.
The Rotary Club of Guernsey currently has a membership of over 70 members who come from a variety of backgrounds and who offer their skills and expertise in supporting Rotary goals and initiatives, such as the eradication of polio worldwide, whilst also focusing on the needs of the local community.
